Best way to shrink a unisex American Apparel shirt?

It's 100% cotton, size small, and I normally take a women's medium. Is there any way I can shrink it without just shrinking the length and keeping the width? Will the sleeves shrink as well? Thanks!

if you shrink it ( by washing in very hot water and drying very high heat ) you shrink everything length,width and sleeves
