Do you feel apprehensive about demonic school mascots.?
Our local high school mascot is a Red Devil. The symbol is a scary looking red devil, beard, horns, the whole thing. Duke University, a religious school, is represented by a Blue Devil. Wake Forest, a Southern Baptist University is represented by a Demon Deacon, a zombie. I have been taught all of my life to avoid the devil and demons. Do you think that using them as school mascots, elementary thru University, makes light of devils and demons? I am a Christian, a Southern Baptist, and do not consider myself a fanatic..........but I am a little apprehensive about demonic mascots.
speaking from a biblical point of view, Jesus Christ said we would have power over our enemies, meaning demons. You have nothing to fear. You are in control of the real ones, so why would you fear a fake one?
