Does Manny Pacman Pacquiao really make you proud you are Pinoy?
He's strong on the ring alright. But do we really need to be proud that our country produces the best athlete in this gladiator style sport? Plus, can't you sense the underlying arrogance of this man during his after-bout interviews? I'm a Pinoy too but I think we got better athletes to emulate, so much better than Pacman.
How could you not like a guy who:
gives money & food to the poor
doesn't talk trash to his opponents
religious
proud of his country and fights for his countrymen
works hard
is a champion
By the way, since this is his biggest purse.. He will not only give food to the poor in PI this time around, he'll also build houses for the less fortunate... houses!
I don't know how you can't admire a guy like that. He isn't arrogant, he's confident. He is confident because he trains hard and knows his ability.
