Brain Drugs Football
Did the NFL (or perhaps even NCAA football) have a steroid scandal as embarassing as the MLB?
I remember when I was in junior high the education on TV about steroids. I think I saw episodes from "Coach" & "California Dreams" about athletes taking such drugs. & if u remember Lyle Alzado, I think he admitted he took steroids & died of a brain tumor. Thus, steroids r nothing new in sports, but was such a scandal this bad for football from 1 or 2 decades ago? & which specific football players do u recall that (allegedly) took any performance-enhancing drugs?
I'm looking @ "Doping cases in American football" in Wikipedia. I can only c eleven viewable names here. One of them is Ricky Williams, but I know that he used pot, which I don't think is a performance-enhancing drug. Along w/ Alzado & Merriman, here are the other eight names:
