I want to take the G.E.D. but...?

Hey there, I am a 17 year old, who dropped out of school at the age of 17 to play football in the UK. I'm considering going back to education in the states, and recently found out about this GED thing. So here's some basic info about me:

-Birth date is the 11th of October 92
-Dropped out of school at 10th grade
-Never lived in the states, but all my education has been taught and brought by an American institution
-My uncle lives in Detroit, if this helps anything;p

I've been doing some research, and it turns out some states I have to be a residence?

Which states do not require you to have been a resident? like I think that in Florida you have to have been a resident there for atleast 6 months?

What other requirements are there to take the GED?

The requirements and cost to take the GED vary quite a lot between states, but it costs at least $100.
