For me, I think it's probably the Road Warrior, I love Mad Max, and didn't think the other two movies from the trilogy could top it, but I recently watched the Road Warrior and, Wow, its a great movie. What one do you like more?
Mad Max all the way.
It had it's faults, and at times you could tell that they weren't 100% sure where they wanted to take the story, along of course with the editing being a little meh at times.... but in totality it was a better realized story with more character and nuance, even for it's faults.
Road Warrior, but Max is such a 2 dimensional character in it... then you watch Mad Max and you get WHY he became such a driven, anti-social type. Realistically, Road Warrior had the better budget, so it had the flashier and bigger fights, but that is really the only way it is superior. And for me big special effects are only part of the movie. Story wise, if you think about it, it was pretty basic.
Still enjoyed the heck out of both of them..... now Thunderdome.... why oh why did they go and have to ruin it with a MAINSTREAM 3rd installment? I mean.. a Tina Turner soundtrack? Can ya get anymore commercial than that?
