(at least, that's what it sounded like; I guess-imated on the spelling) Whatever is actually is, it was a piece of metal something, which was used against a psychotic, drunken slasher killer, in an '80's splatter flick, called "The Mutilator" He got one in the head), and earlier in the film, upon inquiry, that's what it was called.
...during my twenty-year Submarine Naval tenure, I worked in a metal shop, and in cutting metal, it is never cut absolutely clean; a lot of the edges of freshly cut metal had feathered barbs, which if not handled correctly, can cut skin just as readily as if cut by a knife. Anyways, some of us who worked in the shop, would take a lot of the scrap pieces and chunks of metal, file down all of the barbs and sharper edges, except for one side, or end, take a large wooden or cork target, and try to throw the pieces at the target, in such a way, that the sole sharper end would stick to the target. Obviously, if the blunt end of the metal, hit the target, it would not stick, because of the filed-off barbs; some of these pieces were pretty heavy, and would penetrate pretty deep when thrown (...providing, of course, that the barbed/sharp end hits home, on the intended target). On the rare occasion, if the pieces wasn't thrown accurately, or ricocheted/rebounded off of something, and hit someone in the line of fire, a rather nasty gash/injury would occur, especially if the inadvertant target happened to get the sharp end of the metal piece....
....indeed, I have seen the horror film, "Mutilator" (...which was originally going to be called "Fall Break", but was changed, so that unsuspecting viewers aren't mistaking the movie for a 'Porky's' knock-off), and I remember the scene where some kid was showing his friends where his father had thrown the 'pirra-machinger', had nailed a frame around where the thing had stuck to the wall, and later, was used against the psycho killer, in the movie. Anyways, having not found anything on-line, with respects to your 'pirra-machinger', the above explanation might be the closest thing, in identifying what that piece of metal is, in the movie....and obviously, how dangerously effective it is!!!........
