What to wear ice skating?

hey i havent been iceskating in soooo long like 3 years and im going later today with my youth group and i dont know what to wear. should i wear a peacoat or is that too fancy and just wear my windbreaker or should i wear a sweatshirt? should i wear jeans or should i wear sweatpants? should i wear just a t shirt or a long sleeve shirt? and also how do you think i should do my hair to look cute for ice skating like im thinking of either straightening it and putting it in two low braids or straightening it and pulling it back into a loose pony tail. what do you think????? thanks so much for all answers!!!!!!

Your questions depend on a few things: are you skating outside or at an indoor rink?
Obviously, if you're going to be outside, you need to dress appropriately for the temperature. But either way, outdoors or in, I suggest you dress in layers so that you can remove an outer layer or two if you start to get too warm. Again, long sleeve or short depends on the temp where you're going to be skating. Wear long sleeves if you're going outside (with a sweater/sweatshirt/jacket over). Skip scarves or anything that can somehow get caught up in your skates (or someone else's - ouch!) Short sleeves might be ok if you're going to be inside - but most of the indoor rinks I've been to have been chilly inside. Jeans might look better than sweat pants.
Hair: Ponytail might work - keep it out of your way. Have fun!
