How can Restrictor plate racing be considered "real" racing?
To me it just seems like another way that Brian France has come up with to be able to cheat for the drivers he wants to win, Earnhardt Jr, Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart.
These races are so easy for the front office to manipulate, It makes me wonder why anyone thinks it is "real" racing?
I love how in your theory NASCAR came up with the restrictor plate to help those drivers, yet none of them were around when it was implemented. One word, FAIL!
NASCAR implemented the plate way back in 1970, since then they have made changes to the size of the openings almost every season. Most notably after Bill Elliott set speed records at both Daytona and Talladega. It is also used in almost every other form of racing.
BTW, in 1970 half of the drivers you mentioned weren't even in elementary school, and Kyle Busch wasn't even a gleam in his daddies eye.
I wish people would check their facts before coming up with these absurd theories as to why NASCAR "does" what it does.
