i just brought a brand new pair of 1560z doc marten boots. i've worn them for a day. on one of the boots it has started to crease and there are air bubbles under the leather. what shall i do? im taking them back tommorow to the shop, but is there anything i can do to get rid of the air bubbles without permanently damaging the boot?
no they are original english ones , i've researched them. But its not the crinkling im worried about. i've recently just learnt that the leather was not joined properly on my pair, so the leather is peeling off and it will lead to the boots getting grey spots where its peeling and not being waterproof. there 100% faulty :/
Hi, some Dr Martens are very difficult to care, once they're creased they're creased.
I guess your pair is a Thailand or China mde one: they are not good as the ones were once made in Uk.
So quality is cheap, and they batter up quickly; i have a pair of green croco patent ones like these:

I wore them for a month and they are now peeling off around the toes, so i guess yes, it's normal that yours are peeling like mines.
I have also 14 (ahahaha, i'm addicted) of made in England Dr Martens, and they are definitively better: best quality, completely waterproof, undestructible.
I guess at the shop will give you a new pair, but in my experience they will crease agin, there's nothing you can do; don't do anything untill you bring them back.
