Bar-goers: how do you order a liquor shot?
Although this question might make me sound like a minor, I'm over 21 and up until recently only ordered cocktails and beer at bars (pretty simple things to order).
My current drink of choice is a double shot of Jim Beam Black with no ice. What would you say when you order that at a bar? I know that the bartender would understand what I wanted either way, but what is the conventional way of saying that drink order?

Yours is a well-asked question - and I'd stick with "Double Shot of Jim Beam Black, neat".
"Double Shot" is the quantity - say it first.
"Jim Beam Black" is the product, say it second and
"Neat" is the description and it historically goes last
A few young waiters don't know what "neat" is when ordering from a table, but my drink is "neat" and 99% get it right.
"Dry" is more often used to describe the amount of vermouth in a martini, and you should avoid using and confusing.
