As for your idea that Jesus looked Western (I read European) and Moses looked African (I read black), it doesn't stand up to historical scrutiny. While there may be a bit of difference in complexion and hair color, it was more similar than the comparisons you are thinking of. Think more Egyptian and Syrian. That fits better historically and genetically.
The idea of a blond-haired blue-eyed Jesus is not true, and only comes to us from European artists in the Middle Ages who dreamed of Jesus as someone similar to them (and someone the average person in that area could relate to), and has no historical basis in fact.
