what type of topics are covered in Alcoholics Anonymous meetings?
what type of topics are covered in Alcoholics Anonymous meetings? I am supposed to go to 10 of these meetings because of a bogus DUI, and I have no intention of doing so.
They make you fill out a report on the topic covered during each meeting, so what type of topics are covered?
For the record, I AM NOT AN ALCOHOLIC, and I know the first step is admitting you have a problem.
I went to AA for years. Here are some common topics:
Powerlessness (over alcohol--first step)
Honesty
What "brought you in" to AA
Anger
Gratitude
Sponsorship
God of your understanding/higher power (second/third steps)
This is at discussion meetings. There are also speaker meetings where all you do is listen to someone tell their story. You could write "speaker meeting" on your report.
